Re: Towing an automatic

Thank you both, I should have been more clear about the engine running bit as I did wonder if the gearbox pump would allow the lubrication to do its thing. The distance is not great but Mrs Finchyman doesn't know about the idea yet.

Hi, does anyone know if you can tow a 2.2 auto with the engine running without ruining the gearbox?

Suspension re-gas

I had the pleasure of Ian and Dawn from hydragasandhydrolasticservice.com down here today to give the Princess a new set of fully re-gased spheres. The transformation in handling and comfort is astonishing, it is like a different car. I would highly recommend their services. Even in the heat of the ...

Centre exhaust bracket

Hi, does anyone have a centre exhaust bracket for a 2.2 auto, the one that mounts the exhaust to the car right in the middle and where the front pipes meet the back section? My rubbers have perished :? . Or has anyone created a fix that uses modern, easily available, universal mounts?

Morning all, has anyone got a spare valve body gasket for my 77 Princess auto? It is the larger of the two plates with the drain plug on. My endless gasket sets of course don't have one!

Check your drains

Having been irritated about why the driver's footwell filled with water I thought I would have a look under the wiper bulkhead grilles. I remember having a XJS that used to fill with water due to a blocked bulkhead drain so I wondered if it was the same problem. Sure enough both the drains were full...

Re: Project KPK

You reminded me of when I had a P reg Wolseley (KLU33P) and a N reg Morris (JAV309N) at the same time in the 1990s. The Morris had the angled reflectors at the back and no triangle bracing panels in the rear corners under the back seat, however the Wolseley had the later lights and the braces. I thi...

It is an acquired taste, that I haven't quite acquired yet. It is much better is every sense to take along the phone and bluetooth speaker, and listen to Spotify. If everything was for the best I imagine that I wouldn't have installed an 8 Track! Really enjoyed doing it though.

Taking advantage of the bank holiday I wired up the 8 Track. I imagine it is a while since a bank holiday has been spent doing this and listening to Telly Savalis. Sound quality is average in acoustics and talent.

Denovo size

Hi,
Does anyone know the size of the Denovo tyres? I have got a nice set of Stag alloys and have yet to buy the tyres. I believe Denovos are wider than 185 and I know that Stag alloys can accommodate wider than 185 so I wondered how wide could I go without rubbing the bodywork?

Hi all, I was wondering if my old Wolseley is still out there. I had to sell it due to storage issues in 2001. It was Harvest Gold with sorrel interior.
