I think the rings you have on look like the ford ones, but if they fit and are round that’s what counts!, I’ve had abs plastic ones from eBay which are similar profile to yours but then I found a guy selling stainless one which shine better and last longer.

Scotty, unfortunately the interior is blue, in very good condition strangely, considering the state of the outside, i do have a pair of paprika headrest if they are any good! ;)

When I had mine re-sprayed I took out the windows, engine, lights etc etc etc and did some of the prep work, I gave the guy a 2 month window and he charged me £1500, it’s not a perfect job but saying that I’m VERY picky but I think the job is decent enough and 4years on it still looks ok, £5000 shou...

It looks pretty good, the lights in the NEC are terrible anyway so I wouldn’t worry about that.
I’ve looked at replica/replacement vin plates and I’ve found them ludicrously expensive and not really a true representation so I’ve left it be for now!.

Hope the car finally rewards you after all your efforts, old cars whatever the make, can be hard to get along with sometimes but(especially in your case) tenacity pays off, I think most would have lost the will by now!, well done and keep on keeping on.

I had continuous running problems when I first got my Ambassador, I put it down to it being laid up for so long, even after repeated replacement of ignition parts, it just wasn’t right. Since fitting the Electronic ignition the car on that side of things had been all but faultless, I can’t recommend...

I can 2nd rovamotas recommendation of Jinyu tyres, I’ve got them on my 75, I’ll shortly be putting a set on the Ambo as they are now 8 years old and showing signs.
Jinyu are available online too, if you know someone who can fit them,maybe a cheaper option for you.

Personally I don’t think pictures are important,as vulgalour says it’s only really body panels that may require photos,generally If someone requires a specific part they know what it looks like and if the description is accurate enough surely that should combat any doubt!. Angyl,the method I’ve used has always worked,obviously make sure the 2 mating surfaces are clean and straight,put the exhaust jointing paste in the exhaust flange,use a trolley jack under the car to jack up the exhaust to the manifold to get good tight fit,make sure the clamps are good quality ones(...

All the stickers are available from either Leyland labels or isaydingdong on eBay,the later was a great help with the rear windows sticker”driving is believing “,I basically sent her the scrapings and she filled in the blanks,I got the ‘supercover’ One from her too.

Just to make a point,my son is now 22,he’s been driving his own car for 5years now,no claims or convictions,the 3 insurance I have used,none of them would insure him on the Ambassador as the 2.0ltr engine is too big apparently,his own ‘daily’ produces twice the power than the ambo,is safer to drive,...
