Re: Project KPK

Amazing work. Are your black plastic headlight surrounds new? If not, how did you revive them to get them looking like new? Ed

Re: Minilites and Stags

Unfortunately lots of photos got lost when the old original forum crashed and died years ago. On the old site, there were photos of a Russet brown Princess with stag alleys and I thought it looked pretty cool and suited the car well.

Re: Indicator relay.

Thanks for your advice. I found it! It was installed under the hazard relay inset and flush with the panel with the pins facing out so I didn't recognise it as a relay. I replaced it with the buzzer type.... oh my God!! My alarm clock isn't even that bloody loud!! Seriously annoying... I've taped it...

Re: Indicator relay.

Thanks guys, I could only find 2, hazards and seatbelts. I'll have another look around maybe it's buried a bit deeper somewhere. Actually, my indicators work fine but have become inaudible and often don't self-cancel... I've had people pulling out on me at junctions because they think I'm planning o...

Indicator relay.

Could someone please tell me where to find the indicator relay on my '79 Princess 2? It's not where it's supposed to be according to the Haynes manual, under the dash switch panel. I've also looked under the air intake under the bonnet and can't find it. Any advice gratefully received. Thanks, Eddie

Looks great. I love the colour, think it suits the Princess very nicely. Well done. I look forward to seeing it at the NEC.

I've always been able to source service items easily enough on eBay.

Re: Telegraph list

I attended a great car show on Sunday. The Shere Hillclimb in Surrey. All types of car, modern, classic, vintage, track cars & supercars. My Black '79 Princess 2000 HL got a lot of attention and positive comments but later a young woman, probably in her early twenties pointed at my car as she was wa...

not sure if these are what you're after.... There is a full set of hubcaps on eBay in need of refurbishment/re-chrome, 1 from one seller and 3 from the other (check 2nd seller's other items for the others) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CLASSC-AUSTIN-PRINCESS-HUBCAP-WHEEL-TRIM/273220367706?hash=item3f9d...

New Battery

Could someone please recommend a good powerful battery for my princess, there's a lot available to choose from and I want to get it right. My '79 2000HL has been laid up for a couple of years and I'm planning to resurrect it soon. Many thanks. Eddie

Re: 1980 Princess 2 1.7 HL - 07/09 Even More Progress!

Once bitten twice shy... I use eBay a lot and in my experience many 'New' items listed with a 99p starting price can dramatically increase in price just before the close of auction or suddenly become unavailable. I followed that route and paid the little bit extra for my own peace of mind. It's good...

Re: What colour is Saddle Brown?!

I sold a selection of saddle brown stripes to Terry Miller over a year ago, he should still have some. There can't be that much of a demand for them as most Princesses would have had gold stripes apart from, I think, the beige and white ones.

New MOT

I took my black Princess 2000HL for an MOT yesterday... It passed :D it just needed a suspension rebound strap, which I was able to supply, and the carb needed tuning a bit to lower the emissions. I got an advisory notice for slight play in both front wheel bearings and that's it. The poor thing had...
