Dawn and Ian Kennedy in Telford are the people to talk too, if you have Facebook do a search for them.

In fact I’ll save you the trouble.

Yes, but he can supply what this chap needs. I’m sure I annoy (nope I know) a lot of people too.

Don’t get a downer on him Kev. He’s trying to run a business.

I bought a wedge for spares and on removal of the rear radius arms found both displacers had been regassed but were seized solid on their respective pivot shafts.

Am trying to free them but I'm not having a great deal of success at the moment...tried WD40, heat plus brute force and ignorance...but shall probably cut off the pin flush with the displacer pin hole and try to drill out the pin itself...nil desperandum...

Or just leave them for someone else to struggle with!

I wonder if you can use electromagnetic rust removal for this sort of job? Seems once the pivot is stuck there's very little chance of getting it out again through the usual methods, as listed above. Not even creative swearing seems to help.

Sorry, I mean electrolytic. It has been a long day. Here's a five second search for info on it: http://www.instructables.com/id/Electro ... aka-Magic/

Cheap, effective, and pretty much uses whatever is lying around. You probably already know about it now I've used the proper name. Removing rust with electromagnets would be neat, but I don't think that's something you can actually do in the real world.
